Giving Back in Style: Hundreds of Dresses Donated, Valued at Over $70,000

At Lady Black Tie, we believe the joy of finding a beautiful dress should reach beyond our boutique. That’s why we’re proud to have donated thousands of dresses with a combined value of over $70,000, supporting community programs that help make prom more accessible.

For us, giving back is a meaningful way to share what we love: helping people feel confident and excited for life’s special moments.

A Dress Can Make a Difference

Prom is a milestone—a chance to celebrate friendships, accomplishments, and the start of a new chapter. But the cost of getting ready can put added pressure on students and their families.

Donating dresses helps remove one of those barriers. It gives community organizations more options to offer students, helping them find a look that feels like their own.

Our donation milestone represents more than the value of the clothing. It reflects our commitment to making special-occasion dressing accessible to more people.

Supporting the People Who Make Prom Possible

Our giving has supported programs including Belle of the Ball, The Prom Closet, and the GFWC Marlborough Junior Woman’s Club’s Metrowest Princess Boutique.

Belle of the Ball, a Caring Partners program, provides prom dresses and related accessories at no charge to eligible high school students. The Metrowest Princess Boutique also helps students access prom attire and accessories, and recognizes Lady Black Tie among its supporters.

Behind these programs are volunteers and organizers who put time, care, and energy into helping students prepare for prom. We’re grateful to contribute dresses to their work.

Giving Back Is Part of Our Story

Since opening in 2018, Lady Black Tie has helped customers dress for celebrations of all kinds. Supporting community dress programs is another way to bring that purpose to life.

Thousands of dresses donated. Over $70,000 in donated value. A shared belief that more students deserve the chance to enjoy their moment.

To everyone who organizes, volunteers, and contributes to these programs: thank you for making a difference in our communities.
