We want you to feel and look amazing in your dress. We welcome you to email or DM us prior to making a purchase if you are unsure of your size or a displayed color. This policy is for online sales only. Sales purchased in our Hudson, Massachusetts store must follow the return policy on your receipt and displayed in store. Retail store policy is also outlined at the bottom of this page.
In the event you do not love your Lady Black Tie purchase, you can ship it back within 14 days from the date your package is marked as delivered for an online store credit that never expires. We do not issue refunds for returns. Price adjustments will not be made for any past or future orders.
Easy Online Process: Start your return through our Returns Portal—no need to contact customer service.
Return Window: Returns must be initiated within 14 days from the date your package was marked as delivered.
Eligible Items: Items must be unworn, unwashed, unmarked, unaltered, and undamaged with all original tags intact.
Processing Time: Store credit is typically processed within 2-4 business days after we receive your return.
Email Notification: You will be notified by email once your store credit has been issued for your return.
Store Credit Only: We do not issue refunds. Eligible returns will receive an online store credit that never expires. Your store credit does not expire, so there is no rush if you want to wait for new styles to launch or wait to use it on something you love.
Log in to your Lady Black Tie account to view your current store credit balance at any time. You can find it under your account ‘Profile’. If you are logged in, your store credit will automatically show as a payment option at checkout.

Tracking Your Return: You will receive a tracking number with your return label to monitor your package's journey back to us. Please follow this to see if it has arrived back to us.
If you purchased the optional Free Return Shipping + Package Protection, the return label will be available in the Returns Portal
If you did not purchase the optional Free Return Shipping + Package Protection, return labels for eligible items may also be purchased directly by customers in the Returns Portal
Once a return is initiated in the Returns Portal, and the return label is created, you have 10 days to then mail the return. After 10 days the return label will expire.
Our items are shipped out in reusable, eco-friendly packaging to simplify your return back to us.
Please include your return packing slip, invoice or name and order number in your return package so that we can easily locate your order in our system and notify you once your return is processed.
Customers outside of the US and Canada: Free Return Shipping + Package Protection is not available for customers outside of the US and Canada. Customers outside of the US and Canada are responsible for their returns and return label costs. These returns are not eligible to be processed in the returns portal. To qualify for a return, items must:
✔ Be unworn, in original, resellable condition
✔ Have all original tags and hanging ribbons attached
✔ Be free from makeup stains, perfume, cigarette odor, pet hair, and any other marks
✔ Not have been washed or altered in any way
Items returned that do not meet the above requirements will not be issued a credit and you will be responsible for postage back to you. We will notify all customers who have sent us unqualified returns for any of the above checkmarks. We reserve the right to refuse a returned item if there are any signs of wear, alteration, misuse or damage.
If you send back an item that does not qualify for a return OR if we receive a package back from the shipping carrier due to the address provided being undeliverable, then you will be responsible to pay a return shipping charge. We will hold non-returnable merchandise or packages returned by the shipping carrier for 14 days. After 14 days, the items will be donated to charity.
Pre-ordered items and special orders are nonrefundable. Most of our pre-order styles are made to order. If you no longer need the specific style, we are happy to provide you with a store credit (that will not expire) to put towards something else at a later date. Showroom purchases are made with the ability to try on our dresses before you buy. Therefore, dresses that have been purchased or special ordered from our Hudson, MA showroom cannot be returned or exchanged. ALL SALES ARE FINAL. We do not offer return or exchange for in-store purchases or special orders placed in store due to change of mind or change of circumstance. This policy is displayed on your in-store receipt and is on display at checkout.
